Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Business Continuity Program Coordinator to play a critical role in managing our comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program. This position is essential in maintaining our organization's resilience by coordinating technology recovery, business continuity, and vendor continuity efforts across 50 different departments.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can build strong cross-functional relationships, challenge existing processes, and drive continuous improvement in our risk management and recovery strategies. You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and enhancing our business continuity policies and procedures while providing crucial oversight and challenge to our BCM plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the company's comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program
- Provide effective second-line challenge and oversight of Business Continuity plans
- Develop, review, and enhance Business Continuity Management policy, programs, and procedures
- Collaborate with 50 different departments to collect and validate disaster recovery planning information
- Assess and review infrastructure and technology recovery planning
- Challenge current processes and propose innovative improvements
- Manage continuity planning across cloud and on-premises environments
- Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams
- Conduct risk reviews and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and presentations for leadership
Required Experience/Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in Business Continuity Management
- Strong ability to develop partnerships and influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High School Diploma (required)
- Ability to analyze complex systems and processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptable and proactive problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Haves
- 2-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably auto finance
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Risk Management, Business Studies, or equivalent work experience
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Business Continuity Manager (CBCM)
- Experience with Lucid and eGRC Archer BCM module
- Understanding of technology infrastructure and recovery planning
- Prior experience in multi-departmental coordination
